Dallas Cowboys’ linebacker DeMarcus Ware was hospitalized with a sprained neck on Sunday night, after he slammed headfirst into a San Diego Chargers lineman during the teams’ Sunday Night Football game.According to reports from Associated Press, the Cowboys have reassured people that DeMarcus was aware and alert, with full movement and strength in his extremities when he was taken off the field and transported to hospital. Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones said that it looked like Ware had suffered a sprain, right at the base of his neck. As he was taken off the field, Ware waved both hands, giving a thumbs up and flashed a “W” with his fingers.
